IICRC Launches Mold Remediation Campaign
The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning, and Restoration Certification (IICRC) has announced its new Mold Uncovered campaign.
The IICRC’s new campaign emphasizes the importance of proper mold remediation through accredited industry standards and certifications. As part of the initiative, IICRC has launched a new website—molduncovered.org—featuring an interactive map that tracks which states have taken legislative or regulatory action to incorporate accredited standards and certifications for remediation.
“Mold issues continue to destroy healthy homes and displace families,” said Michael Dakduk, IICRC president and CEO. “Virtually every state in the U.S. requires individuals to attain a license to cut hair. We need the same level of commitment to mold remediation and mold assessments. Lawmakers must take action by adopting accredited standards and certifications.”
