Sodexo Recognized for Supporting Gender Equality in the Workplace
Sodexo’s United Kingdom division, Sodexo UK and Ireland, has been named one of the Top 50 Employers for Gender Equality 2024 by The Times.
The British daily national newspaper’s annual list, developed with local business networking organization Business in the Community (BITC), recognizes organizations that make gender equality a priority in their workplaces. Sodexo was recognized for its flexible working schedules, family friendly policies, equitable wages, and other work-life balance initiatives, Facilities Management Journal reports.
“Sodexo has always been a purposeful business, built on the principles of improving quality of life,” said Sean Haley, Sodexo UK and Ireland CEO. “We believe, when women reach their full potential, businesses and society are stronger and more successful, which is why we are committed to increasing the number of women in leadership roles and promoting equal access to career opportunities. I am proud of the work we have done and the investment we have made. We know there is always more progress to be made but inclusion in The Times and BITC’s Top 50 for Gender Equality 2024, is testament to the fact we are moving in the right direction.”
